See icebergs on Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach on this private day tour from Reykjavik in a comfortable luxury vehicle.
The tour begins with pickup at your chosen location in Reykjavik, such as your accommodation. Your private driver-guide then drives you along the South Coast of Iceland. You can watch the landscape on the way or take a nap.
Along the way, you stop at restaurants and cafes, where you can buy a meal.
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, in Vatnajokull National Park, is fed by Breidamerkurjokull Glacier, an outlet glacier of Vatnajokull. At more than 820 feet (250 meters), it's the deepest lake in Iceland, and it has been used as a filming location for movies such as James Bond and Tomb Raider.
At the lagoon, you can walk around and take photos of the icebergs, or join an optional boat trip to sail among them, at your own expense.
Then you take a short walk to Diamond Beach, where chunks of ice from Breidamerkurjokull Glacier are stranded on the black sand on their way to the Atlantic Ocean.
On the way back, you can stop at a restaurant or cafe for refreshments. Your guide drops you off at your hotel in Reykjavik at the end of the tour.
