The car was clean and well maintained, with good tires. Something that proved essential when we drove back to Reykjavík on the Golden Circle and got caught in a terrible snow squall. Fortunately, the car handled the conditions with ease and had no trouble pushing through the snow.

I really recommend auto car rental, the guy who picked us up & dropped us off at the airport was brilliant! Shame I didn’t catch his name but he was so chatty & funny. We had an upgrade to a newer car which was nice & was more than adequate for what we needed. I was a bit hesitant to choose a rental that was outside the airport area as I wanted to get exploring straight away but actually it worked out easier, the pick up was waiting at the airport when we arrived (after a little confusion about where to meet him) and it was only a 5min drive to go get the car in the direction we would have been travelling anyway. No que to pick up keys & I think we were on our way faster than the previous time when we had used blue.
Good car rental, picked up from airport to hire car place. Had an issue with the car midway through but returned and given another with no questions asked. Given a lift back to the airport when needed after hire car returned. All staff were polite and responded to any queries quickly, would recommend
