Hotel Geysir
I recently stayed in Hotel Geysir, a family-run hotel located in Haukadalur in the Southwestern part of Iceland. The hotel is well located, just across the road from Geysir, after which it is named.
Hotel Geysir is a large modern yet warm hotel with spacious, comfortable, good quality rooms with incredibly comfortable beds that feels just like you are sinking into a cloud. There was a small window sitting area tucked behind the curtains, to sink into and watch the view outside.
The hotel has a lovely architecture with a industrial vibe which i found very impressive! All those walls and big windows, and the hotel itself perfectly decorated with a mix between modern and country style. Absolutely beautiful!
I decided to have dinner that night at the hotel’s restaurant as I was exhausted after a long day exploring the area and couldn’t be happier with my decision!
The restaurant is fantastic, with wonderful atmosphere, great views and attentive staff. The food is sublime, beautifully cooked and presented.
After dinner I had a drink at the bar which is also beautiful and very elegant and chatted with the staff that was always very helpfull during my stay.
The next morning I woke up fully recharged after a good night sleep and was looking forward for a good cup of fresh coffee and breakfast!
The breakfast buffet was massive and had anything you could want, with so much choice!
While eating breakfast you can look out into the pathway leading the Geysir, giving you a glimpse of how close this attraction is to the hotel.
What a lovely stay!
Thanks to Hotel Geysir for such lovely experience.
