Our Geologist, France was so good that I am writing a review here for the third time because my first two “didn’t take” This was truly a fantastic learning experience highlighted by not only France’s enthusiasm but her ability to take what she knows and convey it to a group of international tourists. I was able to take what I learned and apply this on all my other hiking experiences around the island.

That was honestly the most educational and interesting tours I’ve been on! Our tour guide (her name was France) has a Masters in Geology and wow did she know her stuff! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

지질학에 진심인 가이드님과 함께 화산산을 오른다고 보면 됩니다. 원래는 10시간 트래킹만하는 투어에 참여하려다가 예약이 다차서 이 투어로 갔는데 훨씬 좋았어요. 단순 트래킹이면 모르고 지나쳤을 돌, 용암지대 등올라가는 산 중간중간 매우 자세히 설명해 줍니다. 아이슬란드가 불과 얼음의 땅이지만 화산활동과 관련된 여행은 경험할 기회가 적었는데 이 투어로 부족한 부분을 채울 수 있었어요. 등산에 진심이면 하이킹만 하는 투어도 추천하지만 하이킹을 조금 포기하고 아이슬란드를 좀 더 이해하고 싶은 분들께 추천합니다. 가이드님이 말이 매우 빨라서 다 알아듣기는 힘들었습니다..
