"Thanks to Guide to Iceland, I had an unforgettable adventure with expert, friendly service providers. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations!"
It was an amazing experience. The lift ride down to the heart of a volcano is stunning and various colours of lava formations is absolutely beautiful . The 3 Km walk is not very tough and the views along the way worth it. Hot lamb or vegetarian soup provided upon returning from the volcano concluded the tour perfectly
Descending into the magma chamber of the dormant volcano was one of the most surreal experiences I’ve ever had in Iceland. The elevator ride 120 meters underground felt like entering another world — surrounded by vivid volcanic colors and massive rock walls shaped by ancient eruptions. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and an unforgettable reminder of Iceland’s raw natural power.
the time in the volcano was magical. guides were fantastic. Soup was awesome. however the 3+ km walk to the site was not nice. Big wind, no shelter, and cold temps. The site i visited said it was a 2 km hike both ways or I may not have gone. Maybe a better way of getting to site, ie ATV's? Would also save a lot of time.
To be fair I was dreading this trip a little as I am not great with heights and the thought of descending in a cage was a concern. In the event the access to the cage was very easy and the drop down into the crater was just magical. It trull is a trip of a lifetime and not one to be missed if you ever get the chance.
