Seeing whales in Iceland is not always possible due to many factors but we were lucky enough to visit this lovely museum and make it up to our daughter with gorgeous soft toy which you could purchase at kiosk. Having audio in so many languages is a bonus and we enjoyed learning all the facts about those great mammals.

A very good day out. The whale museum is amazing, very informative and child friendly. The boat trip was challenging - very rough conditions, so a lot of people got very seasick (including my kids, but that is not the company's fault.) We were so lucky that we saw a group of dolphins and two humpback whales. The check-in for the boat was a bit confusing: you book a ticket, then go to an office to change the receipt for another ticket, then embark. The guide spotting whales and pointing them out was very enthusiastic, but the sound quality on the speakers was not very good so it was hard to hear her. In fairness, the weather was pretty rough at the time. The option of borrowing a warm overall is really nice for tourists coming from warmer countries without proper gear.
