Kirkjufell (Church mount) near the town of Grundafjörður
On a bright day leave your warm and cozy dormitory and go for a walk around Reykjavik city centre. Look to northwest and feast your eyes to the huge mount behind the horizon.
This mount with an ice cap is a glacier mount Snæfellsjökull – famous location of Jules Verne’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Verne was a smart guy because Snæfellsjökull as a whole Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a special place. It is believed that this is a place that has a special power.
Of course not so powerful like my cool vehicle Ford E350, but you have to visit it. I would be happy to drive you there.
Here are some more attractions by Snæfellsnes peninsula:
Arnarstapi fishing village
Bjarnarhöfn shark museum (mmm, so good)
Vatnshellir lava cave
Lóndrangar cliffs
Welcome to Iceland, dear friends!
Best regards,
