The Greystone Cottages, otherwise known as the Greystone Summerhouses, are a set of three log cabins located on the edge of Egilsstadir in east Iceland. Traveling groups of up to six will find them rustic, cozy, and ideally situated for exploring the Eastfjords or the Ring Road.

Sitting on the edge of the largest town in East Iceland, Egilsstadir, the Greystone Cottages have the perfect blend of access to nature and access to traveler services. The surroundings are beautiful, and you can access restaurants, shops, tour operators, and gas stations in five minutes.
In terms of natural attractions, you can reach the mystical lake of Lagarfljot in under 10 minutes, and the largest forest in the country, Hallormstadaskogar, is just 25 minutes away. The closest of the Eastfjords, Seydisfjordur, takes less than half an hour to get to, and one of the most spectacular fjords in the country, Borgarfjordur Eystri, can be accessed in an hour.

Each of the Greystone Cottages is identical, with three bedrooms that can accommodate two each, one in a double bed and the others with two singles. They also have well-equipped kitchens, dining tables, private bathrooms, and living rooms with televisions comfy sofas that can easily accommodate an extra guest. Though the style is that of a log cabin, all the features are modern, including the free Wifi.
Each summerhouse has an outdoor terrace with furniture and access to free parking.
