Husavik is one of the attractions of the Diamond Circle sightseeing route, which covers all the region’s top sites; as such, those who rent a car will easily be able to visit them in a day. It takes just 40 minutes to get to the waterfall of Godafoss; 50 minutes to get to the Lake Myvatn area and the Asbyrgi Canyon; and an hour 20 to reach Dettifoss, the most powerful falls in Europe.
The capital of north Iceland, Akureyri, is only an hour away.
