Umi Hotel

Umi Hotel is a superb choice of accommodation on Iceland’s South Coast with spectacular views over mountains and the ocean. Travelers, particularly couples, will find it a modern, comfortable place to stay on their journey.

Location and Nearby

With a spectacular location right on the South Coast of Iceland, Umi Hotel is fantastically positioned for those who want to be surrounded by nature. It is also close to many significant sites. Most notably, it is almost directly between Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, 15 minutes and 20 minutes away. The glacier tongue of Solheimajokull is almost as close, 25 minutes away, and the village of Vik is just 20 minutes further down the road.

At Vik, you can find amenities, such as shops and restaurants, and more natural attractions, such as the black sand beach of Reynisfjara and the puffin-watching rock arch of Dyrholaey.

If traveling around the west and south of Iceland, the hotel can be a great base after exploring the Golden Circle, before moving onto sites such as the Skaftafell Nature Reserve and Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, which are further along the South Coast.
