Your journey kicks off at the ATV base camp, just outside Reykjavik. Whether you drive yourself, catch a bus, or arrange a pick-up from a designated spot in the city, getting there is a breeze. Once you arrive, your trusty guides will hook you up with all the gear you need: helmet, gloves, overalls, ski mask, and rain gear (because Iceland’s weather is a bit like its volcanoes—unpredictable!).
If you have a driver’s license, you’re all set to take the wheel. If not, no worries—kids and non-drivers can hop on as passengers and still enjoy the thrill of the ride!
