Description
Summary
Description
Join this photography tour to hone your photography skills while you capture the incredible landscapes in Iceland.
This photography workshop has been designed for a small group of photographers who will be accompanied by a professional landscape photographer and guide. The tour is ten days and nine nights, taking you counterclockwise on the Ring Road in Iceland. Visit the most exceptional photography locations in the country, some of which are lesser-known and off the beaten track.
You will be able to photograph many beautiful waterfalls and rivers, glaciers and glacier lagoons, icebergs, lava fields, majestic mountains and black sand beaches. On the way, we travel through several National Parks, rural countryside and typical Icelandic seaside villages around Iceland. Depending on the time of year, you will be able to photograph many species of local or migrating birds as you drive through the country.
The Spring tour is late May as the vegetation is starting to turn green again after the winter, migratory birds are flocking to Iceland which is their nesting grounds. The Puffins are among these and can be spotted in a few places on this tour. You may expect to see some snow in the mountains in the Highlands, and the glaciers are still white after the winter snow.
In midsummer the vegetation is in full bloom, beautiful wildflowers and the colourful Alaska lupin can be seen in many places along the way. Long days and short nights with 24 hours of daylight in North Iceland make this the high season for tourists in Iceland.
On the autumn tour, the colours of Icelandic nature have changed to orange, yellow and red, and the days are getting shorter again. Migratory birds are actively preparing for the migration to warmer lands, and the Northern lights can be seen in late August.
