Description

Visit Dynjandi Waterfall and a traditional farm on this shore excursion from the port of Isafjordur in the Westfjords, with departure times planned around cruise ship schedules.

Your guide meets you at Isafjordur Harbor, where you board the bus. The drive to Dynjandi follows coastal roads and passes through mountain tunnels, with mountains and fjords along the way.

The Westfjords are one of the least-visited regions of Iceland, so Dynjandi is far less crowded than many waterfalls in South Iceland.

Dynjandi Waterfall is about 330 feet (100 meters) tall and is the tallest waterfall in the Westfjords. It cascades down several layers in a wide, fan-shaped formation, with a series of smaller waterfalls below it.

Next, you stop at Gemlufall Farm, a traditional Icelandic farm, where you meet Icelandic horses and enjoy coffee or tea with a slice of Happy Marriage Cake (Hjonabandssaela), a traditional Icelandic cake made with oats and rhubarb jam.

Then you drive back to Isafjordur Harbor, returning well before your ship departs.
