Description

Experience a high-adrenaline activity unlike any other with this 40-minute freefall tour amidst the stunning landscape around Hveragerdi. This unforgettable freefall adventure is ideal for thrill seekers and those hoping to witness the breathtaking nature of South Iceland from a different perspective.

Your exhilarating tour begins from the reception area near the Reykjadalur trailhead, just outside the town of Hveragerdi. Here, you'll meet your freefall guide, who'll instruct you on all the safety precautions and help you equip the necessary gear for the activity. All guests will be given a specialized harness and helmet for greater safety.

To ensure you are comfortable during the activity, wear warm clothes that are windproof and waterproof, a light hat, and a pair of mittens. It's also best to wear sturdy shoes for your short hike.

After your orientation on safety, the staff will drive you up to the Svartagljufur canyon and walk some distance to the flight tower on the Kambar plateau. During your short walk, which can take around 15 minutes, you'll have a chance to marvel at the beautiful views of the canyon, its waterfalls, and basalt columns.

Once you arrive at the tower, the staff will brief you again on the safety precautions for the freefall before securing your harness. After everything's prepared, you'll finally take the adrenaline-fueled, 42-feet (13-meter) plunge off the tower. The jump is likened to a puffin plunging into the sea from a cliff.

After taking your bungee zipline, you'll return to the starting point before driving back to the reception area to finish your freefall tour.

Once you return to the reception area, the staff can help you remove your safety equipment. After that, you can check out some souvenirs to buy and take home to remember this experience. If you need to take your time and relax, there's a cafe where you can buy coffee or grab something to eat while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Note that this package does not have a pick-up and drop-off service, so you must organize your transportation as soon as you book a schedule.

If you need to cancel your tour, make sure you cancel not less than 24 hours before your booking to get a refund. Unexpected bad weather conditions can also result in tour cancellation from the side of your operator. In this case, your operator will notify you, and you have the choice to reschedule or get a full refund.

Don't miss out on this unforgettable 40-minute freefall tour that will have you plunging over the magnificence of South Iceland. Check availability now by choosing a date.
