Its colourful tin roofs will look like a patchwork quilt; its many parks will be spots of green or white depending on the season; and you will be able to point out examples of the city’s fine architecture, such as Harpa Concert Hall and the mighty church Hallgrímskirkja.

After soaring over the incredible urban landscapes, you will swoop across Reykjavík’s stunning surrounding nature. Faxaflói Bay will sparkle to the west; lava fields and volcanoes dominate the south; peaks loom to the east; and to the north is the beautiful table-top mountain Esja.

You will make a smooth landing on one of the peaks, and attain unbelievable views of west Iceland.
