Description

Join an authentic Icelandic horse riding excursion and spend quality time with your family and friends. Discover Iceland's southern region and experience equestrian tourism.

This tour, which lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours, is a great option for the entire family. No matter whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced rider, you'll discover the very best the Icelandic countryside has to offer on horseback.

The tour is typically between 7 to 10 km long, depending on the riding experience of those participating, but your guides will simply adapt the riding pace and the route so everyone can enjoy the trip to the fullest.

The riding tour either takes place alongside Mt. Ingólfsfjall, through a rocky and rugged terrain, or along the Gljúfurá river, where you will experience the excitement of river crossing on horseback. In addition, during the ride, you have the opportunity to try the famous 'tölt', a gait unique to the Icelandic horse breed.

You will be accompanied by friendly, professional, highly trained and multilingual guides who have plenty of experience in horse riding and service. To guarantee the maximum safety and comfort, all guests are provided with warm jumpsuits, water- and windproof riding jackets, boots, gloves and helmets. The right horse will also always be allocated to the rider by matching character, temper and riding experience.
