This season, the tent is the Vango Blade 200, a technical trekking tent with a patented Tension Band System for stability in Iceland's changeable weather. It has been tested in a certified wind and rain test center to the European standard.
The hexagonal flysheet has a 5,000 mm hydrostatic head and fully taped seams, and the inner groundsheet has a 6,000 mm hydrostatic head, so the tent stays dry in bad weather. The breathable polyester inner tent has mesh windows for better ventilation.
The tent sleeps up to 2 people and takes about 7 minutes to pitch. You can pitch it all as one or flysheet first, depending on the weather.
It weighs 5 pounds (2.25 kilograms) and packs down to 17.3 by 5.5 inches (44 by 14 centimeters), with lightweight alloy poles.
