You will undertake this journey in a sturdy 4x4 Jeep, the only vehicle capable of traversing some of the rough terrain taken on this route. Attention is taken to make sure that this tour is taken slowly, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the landscapes through which you'll be travelling. 

Throughout the tour, you'll journey through the gorgeous surroundings of Austurland, pass by waterfalls, cascading rivers and sweeping hills and mountains. Your learned and experienced guide will point out interesting landmarks along the way, answer any questions you may have and present you with the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the environment.  

You will make a stop and stroll through the scenic Meleyri black sand beach, hike waterfall trails and, if all goes well, see a herd of wild reindeer. 

You will visit the small village of  Breiðdalsvík, home to approximately 150 people and explore an abandoned fishing settlement, for a strange and eerie experience. Other highlights include the Reyðarfjörður Fjord and an old, turf-roofed farmstead surrounded by wildflowers.
