Your private guide and driver picks you up at your accommodation in Reykjavik, and you head through farmland and volcanic landscapes toward the South Coast. Along the way, your guide tells you about Icelandic history, folklore, and nature.
The first stop is Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, which falls about 197 feet (60 meters) from a high cliff. Nearby is Kvernufoss Waterfall, tucked inside a mossy canyon away from the crowds.
Next, you visit Skogafoss Waterfall, which also drops about 197 feet (60 meters) and often shows rainbows in its spray on sunny days.
The tour continues to the cliffs of Dyrholaey Promontory, with wide views over the ocean and its large rock arch. In summer, puffins nest on the cliffs.
At Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, you see black volcanic sand, basalt columns, and Atlantic waves crashing on the shore.
