First of all, we had a great host named Stefan! We were a group of 4 people first time in Iceland. He took us hiking, and drove us all around Thorsmork and at the end also brought coffee and sweets He was very nice and professional, he knew the answers to all of our questions. He even asked us if we are in a hurry so he will show us more places around and we finished the tour a little bit later. He wasn’t in a rush at all. Great person, great tour, would definitely recommend!

The best Snowmobiling experience of my life! The Midgard people were so kind and fun to hang out with. I've been on many snowmobiling tours in Iceland and this was by far the best one! I could not be happier with my Midgard experience, the hot tub on the roof was amazing with the northern lights. Food was amazing and the sleeping area was cosy. The family feel of Midgard really shines through and they make you feel like part of the family.

This was such an incredible trip! With the 'mystery' element, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but after meeting the guides (Stefnir and Siggi Bjarni), I knew I'd have a fantastic time. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and their love of this country really showed. I was certain they'd know of the best places to visit, considering the weather and conditions, and they sure did! We drove into the Highlands on two super jeeps, towing three snowmobiles, in search for the perfect place to stop. We then took turns racing through the area on the snowmobiles, seeing stunning glaciers, mountains and canyons. Halfway through the tour, the guides whipped out a barbeque, and we had grilled hot dogs in the middle of the Highlands! The experience was very surreal; there wasn't another soul in sight save for a few birds in the canyon. On few occasions, we saw tracks from Arctic foxes in the snow, so I'm sure they were watching over us. I can't recommend this tour enough. You are sure to have a fantastic time, as the people at Midgard are so friendly and nice and seem like they genuinely want you to have the best time here in Iceland.

As a native of Iceland who has always longed to witness the highlands clad in their winter coat, this magical mystery tour was a childhood dream fulfilled and then surpassed. Our guides were fountains of wisdom, hardy rangers that knew every nook and cranny of these regions. We passed the beautiful Fljótshlíð area, the backdrop of the famous Njal's Saga - the pinnacle of Icelandic literature, into the roads less travelled north of the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. This was as far as I had ever been, and from then on we passed the Troll Canyon and into the wild, past the amazing, phallic-shaped Mt. Unicorn (Einhyrningur) and onto the hilly plateau overlooking the greater glacier Mýrdalsjökull and far inland. We were super lucky weatherwise, the sun smiled upon us and the wind was uncharacteristically absent, the air was actually still. I tried a snowmobile for the first time in my life and admittedly feel like I have wasted my youth without one until now. The snow was pure powder and driving the snowmobile was like flying through puffy clouds. I would trust the guides of Midgard and their recommendations, they know where best to head dependent on weather and season.

OMG, what a trip!!! Where to start... the guides (Siggi Bjarni and Stefnir) were INCREDIBLE, the weather was AMAZING and the views to die for! I went with a group of 9 people, mostly Icelandic, and we wanted to leave the itinerary to the local guides as they know the area best - so they just took us to their favourite places with the best weather. We drove into the highlands on 2 super trucks and took 3 snowmobiles with us. Then we ended up taking turns riding the snowmobiles and exploring the landscape with the super jeep. We had views towards Eyjafjallajökull volcano, went near Emstrur and Einhyrningur and admired the stunning Markarfljótsgljúfur, all stunning locations that are still off the beaten track. We didn't see a single person outside our group the entire day as we were truly in the Icelandic wilderness. And in the middle of the tour they whipped up a bbq and we had some grilled Icelandic hot dogs at the top of a snow covered mountain in the warm sunshine. Throughout the tour we had freedom to go where we wanted, and stay there as long as we liked taking photographs and videos. We all left feeling like we just made two new best friends, and upon returning to Midgard Base Camp got to enjoy the hot tub and sauna after a long day of an incredible adventure. (I also recommend their delicious restaurant!) Can not recommend this tour and company sufficiently in words, it's probably the best tour I've been on in my life. 100% worth it!

Trust the professionals to know exactly the rights spots and experience to provide its guests! From the very beginning, our group was met with friendliness and professionalism from our guides, Siggi and Stefnir, who proceeded to blow our weekend out of the water with a fantastic surprise trip to the picturesque valley of Þórsmörk. Throughout the experience, we were privy to beautiful and unique scenery, including the majestic Eyjafjallajökull glacier and Markarfljótsgljúfur Canyon. I would definitely recommend this company for tours, food and accommodation whilst travelling Iceland's South Cast. Five Stars!
