The farm is run by farmers Asta Begga Olafsdottir and Gisli Sveinsson. It features a stable, a riding hall and a residential house where the farmers live.
The farmers breed and sell horses and offer horse riding tour from 2-6 days. The farm has great riding facilities and riding paths and you'll be offered excellent instruction. Much care is taken to find a horse that suits each rider and ensure that the riders find their dream horse.
At Midas, you'll get to participate in horsemanship and the daily lives of the hosts and familiarize yourself with Icelandic farm life. Riders will get to enjoy great food as well, courtesy of the hosts.
You'll be riding among beautiful nature and be within reach of many of Iceland's main tourist attractions. The town of Selfoss, Hella and Hvolsvollur are also all at a short distance from Midas.
For other activities in the area, there are opportunities for both golf and fishing for salmon and trout.
The farmers offer accommodation at Midas and at the summer house Laufas (not to be confused with the excellent turf house folk museum in North Iceland), around 50 km from Midas. Both accommodations offer three double rooms and a hot tub.
