Glaciers and Waterfalls ehf

We had an excellent time on this tour. It was definitely my highlight of the trip. Seeing and walking on the glaciers is a very special experience and makes you appreciate the changing environment even more. Tomas (spelling?) was a great guide and knowledgeable. All of the other stops, besides the glacier hike, were great as well. I will say that this hike should be upgraded to a moderate because of the initial approach hike to the glacier. We were told it used to be much easier but recently the glacier has melted and the new approach is much more difficult and steep. Please keep this in mind when considering the age and fitness level of your companions.

An amazing trip and views of the varying landscape and hike up the mountain! Wow, the entire day was fascinating and so worthwhile. Lorenzo our guide was equally fabulous and did a great job shepherding the group throughout the entire day!!!

This was hands-down our best tour in Iceland! It felt like a much more personal experience than tours we did with larger companies. It was a smaller group, and because they’re a small company, they’re better able to finesse their schedule to avoid the bigger groups, especially at the glacier. The hike to and on the glacier was the main part of this tour, and it was an amazing experience. The landscape is just surreal, and we spent quite a while exploring the glacier and learning about it. The guide was fantastic, and it was also great that they had 2 guides during the glacier portion, so when some participants were moving a little slower, the front and back of the group both well supported. I do recommend being in decent physical condition for this; it’s quite a bit of walking, and there are places where you need to step carefully. We were also very glad we could see the black sand beach and a couple of beautiful waterfalls in the same trip. Highly recommend!

Before the trip, we requested numerous changes to our 14 days self driving trip package, including changes from dates, hotels, car, places etc. They always responded quickly, patiently and provided the solutions to our satisfaction. After the trip, they continue following up on any open issues and closed them quickly and smoothly. 2. They provide two excellent documents: A. PDF doc where you can find a clear driving map, direct contact info to all the 3rd party activity providers and hotels, as well as a brief introduction to each place you will visit. We printed out and check it everyday. B. An online version itinerary organized on a daily bases, as well as an interactive overall map. Most useful tool is the driving direction link that connects to Google map. 3. Guide to Iceland has so many packages to choose with a great flexibility to modify. You can find long or short tours, you can config your own package. Comparing to other company or booking the tour yourself, their cost is reasonable, if not lower. Most of the hotels are good and even better than you can find by your own. At the end, we are very happy and satisfied with this trip.
