Local Pickup

Julia, was our driver who arrived 5 minutes before pick-up and came inside the Rekjavik Konsult hotel to find us which I appreciated since the hotel has two entrances, and I was not sure which entrance she would be waiting by. Her car was a clean, comfortable black Audi and she had Icelandic bottled water in the back seat for us. She spoke excellent English and we had a wonderful, lively conversation with my being able to ask all the questions I had after being in Iceland for several days. She was an outstanding, engaging driver and one of the highlights of our vacation. Before I left home, I noticed the private transfer vouchers to and from the airport had the pick-up and drop-off locations reversed. I didn't know whose fault it was (could have been mine), but I contacted Guide to Iceland via e-mail to get them fixed. It took me over a week to get them resolved even though I put the information I needed fixed in the e-mail, the people made mistakes entering the information so it took a week of e-mails to get the pick up and drop-off locations fixed. I also made my airport pick-up time later to allow time to get my suitcase, go through border control, etc. Eventually, the vouchers were updated with the correct information. The drivers showed up as expected, and everything was fine. I do appreciate the Guide to Iceland's courteous e-mail replies each day.

The car picked us up on time and it was a. Ice quiet 5am ride to KEF. We appreciated the reliability and the straight drive to the airport without having to transfer anywhere, particularly when we didn’t want to take chances being late, having to rush, or miss out flight.

Airport transfer was great! Driver arrived early for pick-up and made getting to the airport a breeze. Allowed more flexibility with pick-up time from the hotel.

Excellent. Driver was friendly, courteous and on time. Everything was smooth and seamless.
