Review of North Iceland 4x4 Tour to Dettifoss Waterfall & Lake Myvatn from Akureyri

We were picked up at our hotel in Akureyri by Siggy, our excellent tour guide and found out the other couple had canceled so we had the experience all to ourselves. What an amazing day. Siggy was very knowledgeable about the history, folklore and geology of the My'vatn, falls and lava fields visited on the tour. He was so personable and easy to talk to. He even helped us select a route for our next days return to Keflavik that turned out to be one of the most beautiful drives we did all week in Iceland. He also gave us the best information at each tour location for prime viewing of the falls and other attractions and took some of our best photos. We highly recommend this tour and our guide Siggy.

Review of Private 4-Hour Tour of Aldeyjarfoss and Godafoss Waterfalls with Transfer from Akureyri

Helga was a wonderful and informative guide who knew a lot about the areas visited and pointed out the significance of the area as well as the people who lived in the area. It was fascinating and she explained about the Icelandic foods and culture. Explained how the melt from Vatnajokull was able to provide the water for Hrafnabjargafoss and Aldeyjarfoss and then the glacial waters meet a river fueled by Spring water and they both feed the amazing Godafoss Waterfall! Even with the rain, it was a magical and truly amazing journey! I had also left my beanie in the car and Helga kindly delivered it back to the hotel for me before my flight departed! I can’t thank her enough for her hospitality.

Review of North Iceland Waterfalls, Lake Myvatn & Geothermal Nature Baths from Akureyri

This was a perfectly paced day. The waterfalls, lake and other parts of the tour were beautiful, and unique. The driver did a great job of sharing stories and information, but also was quiet letting us enjoy the scenery on the beautiful drive. The end of the trip was perfect ---the geothermal nature baths. The warm soak, and a few drinks allowed us to recount all of the amazing things that we had seen in this jam packed day.
