Person walking toward the Viking Village film set at the foot of Vestrahorn mountain on Iceland’s Stokksnes Peninsula

Located just outside the southeastern town of Hofn on the scenic Stokksnes Peninsula, the Viking Café is a cozy stop for travelers exploring Iceland’s South Coast. It's a small, family-run café that serves snacks, drinks, and local hospitality, while also offering access to some of the area’s most famous natural sights.

The café is best known for its location right next to the striking Vestrahorn Mountain and the black sand beaches that surround it. From the café, you can walk or drive to nearby viewpoints that give you excellent photo opportunities of both the mountain and the coastline.

It has since been used in many productions, including the Netflix series Witcher: Blood Origins.

Although it was made for the screen, the set looks realistic and is fun to walk through, especially for those interested in Viking culture. It even features a dramatic recreation of the famous Gokstad Viking Ship!
