Description

Come on this guided boat tour on the Fjallsarlon glacier lagoon, one of Iceland's hidden treasures. See the Vatnajokull glacier tower over the mountains while you sail amongst icebergs in the icy lake. This tour is for anyone who would like to experience the surreal but magnificent landscapes of Iceland.

Fjallsarlon is an isolated glacial lagoon in the realm of Vatnajokull, the largest glacier in Europe. Arriving at the lagoon is like stepping into a dreamlike world with spectacular sights. Iceland's tallest volcano, the Oraefajokull glacier, looms above the lagoon and reaches down to the water, where icebergs break into the lake and drift serenely around before melting.

After being fitted with a warm suit and a life jacket, your tour guide will take you down the green, mossy landscape towards the lagoon, where you will find the boats. There you will be taken on a journey through time as your tour guide will steer your boat through this glacier lake and give you a unique insight into the nature and history of this area.

The boats will take you close to the glaciers, providing dramatic views of the blue and white icebergs and the breaking glacier tongue.

The solitude and magnificent landscape make Fjallsarlon one of the most unique places in Iceland. The lagoon is unbelievably picturesque, a dream coming true for any keen photographer.

Vatnajokull glacier crawls down a steep slope into the Fjallsarlon lagoon. The glacier is a part of Vatnajokull National Park, one of three national parks in Iceland. The park features a wide variety of unique landscapes.

You'll be on the water for around 45 minutes. Gearing up and returning the equipment will take approximately 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the tour, and the walk to and from the boat takes around five minutes each way.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see floating icebergs and giant glaciers up close. The Fjallsarlon boat tour is an adventure you will never forget! Check availability now by choosing a date.
