Grab your chance to participate in the ultimate crystal ice cave adventure in Vatnajökull National Park. Visiting these natural phenomena is a once in a lifetime experience so if you’re looking for the most memorable and authentic of Icelandic experiences, this tour is for you.

Your adventure begins at the beautiful Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where you will meet up with your local guides and board a modified mountain jeep which will take you up the ice cap to the entrance of the cave.

Natural ice caves begin to form and take shape during autumn each year until they fill back up again with meltwater come spring. That’s why such a cave is an exclusive winter phenomenon, and as no two ice caves are ever the same,  their fading and fleeting nature makes them even more fascinating.

A group of experts hunt these caves down each year and find the ones that are safe to access. Rest assured that your guide will inform you thoroughly on the natural wonder that you’re visiting. You will also be provided with all the proper glacier gear and safety instructions before entering the mouth of the cave.

Once inside, expect to see a world like none you’ve ever seen, where frozen waves of glacial water glisten in deep blue colours, and light dances and reflects in crevasses. The surface is covered with blankets of snow in places, together creating a winter wonderland of dazzling ice formations.

There is a reason for why ice cave tours are fast becoming the most sought-after adventure for travellers in Iceland, and visiting one has reached the top of the bucket list for thousands of people. Grab your opportunity now and make your ice cave dreams come true.

Don’t hesitate; book this ultimate crystal ice cave tour and create memories and photos that will last you a lifetime. Check availability by choosing a date.

I was looking forward to this trip a lot. However, I was really disappointed because: 1. The cave is small with only a small portion of ice are blue. I was shocked when I was told here is the blue ice as it does not look as blue as the photos showed. 2. The cave was very busy. We could not enjoy the time inside but could only take 2 photos and spent less than a minute to look at the "blue" ice. 3. We was told we could stay 10 more mins after visiting the cave but we were urged to leave after we just took some photos - like 5 mins only. 4. The whole tour only last for 1.5 hours while we were told it would last for more than 2 hours.
