Description

Dive into the world-famous Silfra Fissure on this small-group Silfra diving tour in Iceland. Perfect for certified divers, this 2.5-hour semi-private experience lets you explore Silfra’s crystal-clear waters and unique underwater landscapes while diving between two continental plates.

This Silfra tour in Iceland’s Golden Circle is designed for small groups, with one certified guide for up to three divers. It’s an ideal choice for couples or dive buddies who want to stay together and enjoy a more personal experience at a comfortable pace.

Your adventure begins at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Silfra Fissure. Upon arrival, your personal guide introduces you to Silfra’s fascinating geological and cultural history before giving a detailed dive briefing.

Led by an experienced guide, you’ll be supported from start to finish. After the briefing, your guide will help you gear up in a dry suit and prepare your diving equipment. Once ready, you’ll enter Silfra’s pristine glacial waters, renowned for over 300 feet (100 meters) of underwater visibility.

The sensation of floating between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates is a truly unique experience. You’ll also witness rays of sunlight dance through the impossibly clear blue water, lighting up the underwater landscape.

The Silfra diving tour takes you through four distinct sections of the fissure. Start at the Big Crack, where you’ll dive directly between two continental plates. Move on to Silfra Hall, where the fissure widens into an open, breathtaking chamber.

Then, explore Silfra Cathedral, a deep, clear passage perfect for unforgettable underwater photography, before finishing at the calm and serene Silfra Lagoon.

Throughout the dive, you’ll witness extraordinary underwater scenery found nowhere else in the world. Brilliant shades of blue, surreal rock formations, and pure glacial water make this a bucket-list experience for scuba diving in Iceland.

Your guide stays close at all times to ensure comfort, safety, and an unforgettable adventure.

Once you surface, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies while enjoying the stunning views of Thingvellir National Park. The combination of world-class diving, unique geology, and personal guidance makes this Silfra snorkeling tour one of Iceland’s most remarkable small-group diving experiences.

Experience the ultimate Silfra diving tour in Iceland and explore the only place on Earth where you can dive between two tectonic plates. Check availability now by choosing a date.
