Your day begins in Reykjavik, where your private guide will pick you up. You have the freedom to choose what time to start the tour, but since this is a seven to 10-hour trip, it's recommended that you depart from Reykjavik in the morning.
You can also choose what vehicle to use for this tour. Depending on your preference and the group's number of participants, you may board the super jeep or luxury SUV for up to six persons or a monster truck for up to 10 persons.

Animals have not grazed in the valley for the past 100 years, so the plants here have thrived wonderfully.
From a distance, you'll see the Tindfjallajokull, Eyjafjallajokull, and Myrdalsjokull glaciers towering majestically above the valley. Their white color is a stark contrast to Thorsmork's vibrant green.
You'll also set your eyes on the outlet glacier Gigjokull and hike up to the edge of Eyjafjallajokull to see the infamous ice cap that caused air travel disruption during the 2010 volcanic eruptions.

You can choose whether you travel in our famous Superjeep (up to 6 persons) or Monster truck (up to 10 persons), or Luxury SUV (up to 6 persons). The main difference is that we do not go off-road on Luxury SUV and you will have easier access and more comfort.
The tour runs all year around. In all our Private tours you can choose when you start your day, this tour is 7-10 hours and we recommend to start at 9:00

Kayak On Sea - The real adventure begins with this two-hour guided sea tour amid the skerries and beautiful lagoons along the coast. Home to seals and an array of sea birds in an incredibly diverse biota.
Kayak On Lake - The popular one-hour kayak trip (without a guide) is a particularly interesting possibility for families and individuals, especially those with little to no previous kayaking experience. Participants can explore on their own in and around the fantastic labyrinth-like waterways. Notice that the area is absolutely safe and is great for beginners.
ATV Sharing or Solo - This is a one-hour tour on ATV. We will cross small rivers and visit waterfalls and caves along the way.
Horse Riding - This one-hour riding tour is a great option for the whole family. The beautiful landscape in the Ölfus area is perfect for a short riding tour where you will get in touch with the friendly Icelandic horse.
Helicopter back to Reykjavík and drop-off at your Hotel (maximum of five persons per helicopter, price per helicopter). From Þorsmörk, you can take a helicopter back to Reykjavík to make your journey more memorable.
