Ride a powerful snowmobile across Langjokull Glacier, Iceland's second-largest glacier, on this fast-paced tour from Gullfoss Waterfall, designed for small groups with some experience driving recreational vehicles.
The tour starts at Gullfoss Cafe, next to Gullfoss Waterfall on the Golden Circle route, where you meet your guide. The drive from Reykjavik to the cafe takes about 2 hours.
From there, you ride a monster truck across the highlands to Langjokull Glacier. The ride is an adventure in itself.
At the glacier, your guide explains how to operate the snowmobile and goes over all the safety procedures.
Each rider gets their own Yamaha Viper snowmobile. This three-cylinder, 1000cc machine delivers about 140 horsepower and has more than double the engine capacity of the snowmobiles used on standard tours.
This tour runs separately from the standard snowmobile tours, so you can travel faster and go further. Your guide leads the group and chooses the route based on the weather and the terrain, and the 1-hour ride includes stops along the way.
After the ride, the monster truck takes you back to Gullfoss Cafe.
