Description

Embark on a 5-hour hot and cold diving and spa tour, a unique excursion blending the exhilaration of scuba diving in Silfra's crystal-clear waters with the tranquil relaxation of the Laugarvatn Fontana spa. Adventure seekers looking to experience the contrast of Iceland's icy depths and warm geothermal waters should book this tour now.

The tour begins when you meet your guide at Thingvellir National Park, 27.8 miles (44.7 kilometers) from Reykjavik. Thingvellir is a natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in historical significance and is surrounded by the stunning Icelandic landscape.

Your guide will give you a dry suit and undergarment to keep you warm and lead you into the fascinating waters of the Silfra fissure.

Your diving excursion is an underwater journey unlike any other. The clarity of the water in Silfra offers over 328 feet (100 meters) of visibility, creating a surreal diving experience. You'll explore the four main parts of Silfra. These include the Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and the Silfra Lagoon.

To ensure your safety and comfort, all participants must have dry suit diving certification or at least 10 logged dry suit dives within the past two years, verified by a diving instructor.

In Silfra's consistent 35.6°F to 37.4°F (2°C to 3°C) waters, your 30 to 40-minute dive will be both invigorating and awe-inspiring.

After the dive, warm up with delicious hot cocoa and cookies provided by your guide. Then, if you wish, it's the perfect opportunity to explore Thingvellir at your leisure before heading to the spa.

Next, you'll drive to the Laugarvatn Fontana Spa, approximately 11.5 miles (18.6 kilometers) from Silfra. Your spa voucher is valid for the entire day, so you can arrive when it suits you.

Upon arriving at Laugarvatn Fontana, immerse yourself in the soothing thermal baths, each offering a different temperature for optimal relaxation. Experience the natural steam rooms, built directly over geothermal springs, for a genuine Icelandic spa experience.

Enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings by taking refreshing dips in Lake Laugarvatn between your thermal baths. You can also try the traditional Icelandic rugbraud, a dark rye bread, slow-baked to perfection, using geothermal heat at the Geothermal Bakery.

The rejuvenating spa experience at Laugarvatn Fontana perfectly balances your adventurous diving excursion, combining luxury and nature's tranquility.

Silfra and Laugarvatn Fontana are both situated within the Golden Circle driving route. Therefore, although your excursion ends at Laugarvatn, you're in an excellent location for further sightseeing if you wish.

Enhance your tour experience by adding the optional PADI Tectonic Plate Awareness Distinctive Specialty Course or shopping for souvenirs like hats, caps, and t-shirts. Additionally, you can purchase photos from your tour directly from your guide at Silfra if you choose.

This 5-hour hot and cold diving and spa tour offers an unforgettable blend of Iceland's natural beauty and geothermal marvels. Check availability now by choosing a date.
