Lava Beach ATV Tour & Blue Lagoon

Lava Beach ATV Tour & Blue Lagoon
Roaring down the coastline on an ATV is sure to get your heart pounding.
The world-famous Blue Lagoon spa is famed for its revitalizing silica mud and geothermally heated water.
An ATV is short for All Terrain Vehicles. The machines are also referred to as quad bikes.
Quad biking in Iceland is one of the only real methods for seeing the country's back trails, save for hiking, of course.
Who knows what amazing scenery and hidden attractions await you as you ride your ATV down this lava beach.
You will traverse all kinds of strange and challenging terrain from the back of your Quad Bike.

Come along for a thrilling ATV tour, whizzing across the mountains and beaches that create the unique landscape of Iceland.

You will be picked up at your accommodation and whisked away to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa to change buses and meet your friendly, experienced ATV guides before being taken to the ATV base 5 minutes away from the lagoon.

The fun starts as you whoosh down mountain roads in the direction of Festarfjall, a small mountain veiled in vivid orange, burnt sienna and copper after aeons of volcanic activity which carved out the coastline on the Reykjanes peninsula.

From there, you will explore the black sand beach Selatangar, where you'll have a chance to get off the bike and search the old ruins there. Selatangar was a fishing village before it was abandoned in the 1880s, and the tumbled stones there are the foundations of outbuildings on the beach.

You may feel a shiver down your spine, not only because of the sea breezes but because of the desolate grandeur of this area, it is said to be haunted by a malevolent spirit named Tanga-Tómas. After this brief pause, we will continue our ride, speeding over the harsh, craggy, yet beautiful and brightly-hued terrain of Iceland.

After a two-hour ATV adventure, the guide will return you to the Blue Lagoon, where you can choose to soak away the exertions of the day in the warm, blue waters. If you would like to rest instead, or if you are excited to dive into the nightlife in funky Reykjavik, you can forego the Blue Lagoon and take the next bus back to the city.

Admission to the Blue Lagoon is not included in the price of this tour, but a visitor's pass can be purchased when you arrive there.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to speed along the gorgeous coast of Iceland! Check availability by choosing a date.
