You meet your group and guides at the base, then board a super jeep built for rough terrain. You drive up mountain road F985 and onto the glacier.

Vatnajokull Glacier lies near many of the South Coast's best-known sights. Under the ice cap are valleys, mountains, plateaus, and active volcanoes.
