The tour starts at the meeting point in Patreksfjordur, where you board the bus to Latrabjarg.
Latrabjarg Cliffs are among the most beautiful natural sites in Iceland and mark the westernmost point of Europe. Around them, you see green meadows, dark red cliff faces, and the waves of the ocean.
Millions of seabirds nest on the cliffs, including puffins, razorbills, fulmars, and guillemots, which make their homes in the rocky crevices. You can watch them on a walk along the top of the cliffs with your local guide.
Latrabjarg is said to be the best place in the world to photograph puffins because of how close you can get to them. The bird season runs from mid-April to early August.
On the way back to Patreksfjordur, you stop at the Hnjotur Heritage Museum. Here, you learn how Icelanders lived in the past and how locals rescued sailors from ships stranded under the steep cliffs.
