The guide ingeborg "ipi" was the best! Calm and informative guide. Felt safe with her and the superjeep "Gürri". Driving the rivers was an experience by itself. We had an amazing trip with beautiful views of þorsmörk. The small lunch (hot soup and bread) was just the right addition to our trip. We highly recommend doing this tour!

Our guide, Thor was great—really friendly and lots of local knowledge. He customized the tour to the needs of the group. It didn’t feel “touristy” at all and got to see amazing places. Definitely visit the highlands—highlight of the trip!

Tour was great from start to finish. We appreciated the free pickup from Hella which was easy to arrange. They actually called us back to ask if we were okay with an earlier pickup because the original time would have caused some subsequent pickups to run late. As someone who has gotten worried when a tour vehicle is late to the pickup point, I appreciated that consideration for all participants. Transportation was new and reliable and the guide handled the many river crossings with ease. We got to see a strong variety of sites around Thórsmörk which is absolutely breathtaking. The one hiking activity had a more vertical route and a more flat route, and there was also the option to stay in the car as he drove to the place we were hiking to. Its nice that people could choose the option that best matched their level of ability or interest in hiking. Lunch at the volcano huts followed the hike and was a refreshing break. All in all I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants a guided introduction to the highlands. If you are more adventurous, there's the option of simply taking a special bus there or driving yourself with a rental 4x4. But the interior of Iceland is not to be missed!

We had a great time on the 6-hour tour. Driving in the Super Jeep was exciting, especially crossing the glacier rivers. Being very steep, the one-hour hike up the mountain was strenuous but we were rewarded with a great view at the top. At lunchtime there was delicious soup and cake for everyone. Our tour guide Thor drove us to some great places and explained a lot about them. He lives on a farm in the area and he conveyed his love for this region with great enthusiasm. The cave he showed us at the end was particularly exciting, as were the lichen-covered mountains.
