Description

Get ready for the most extraordinary sightings Iceland has to offer.  Join us on a journey you will remember for the rest of your life, - join us on the hunt of a lifetime.

The skies in the northern hemisphere tend to produce those beautiful green, purple, white, red, and yellow lights known as the aurora borealis, or northern lights. This happens with some help from the sun of course, where the solar winds play a big part.

The Aurora Borealis, sometimes known as the polar lights, travel at a speed of up to 8 million km/h (1 million mph). The most known color of these beautiful lights is green, but they do offer a wider spread of colors, such as yellow, pink, red, purple, and white. Quite a spectacular sight.

The best time to see these green dancing lights in the sky is in the evening, so we depart quite late. The tour will begin at the pickup location of your choice in the capital area where we embark on the northern lights hunt. If you are outside the capital, don't worry! We offer to pick you up there as well for a small fee. You can add that option to your tour upon booking.

You can also choose from several pickup times. If you are traveling with children, we do recommend the earlier timeslots, as the later departures can be hard on the youngest participants.

We will follow the weather conditions surrounding the departure time and pick the route to be driven according to the best possibility of northern lights sightings. We will chase clear sky and stick to areas where we have confirmed levels of activity, in correlation with the Icelandic Met Office.

Since the northern lights hunt is a winter activity, we suggest you dress according to weather. It can get quite cold in Iceland, especially at night. Nice, warm winter clothes and good shoes are a must since the best sightings are outside of the car. We will stop along the route, so you get to enjoy the lights and the beautiful nature of Iceland.

We offer all our client’s high standard and professionalism, and we strive to make your journey in Iceland a dream come true. So don't hesitate, come with us on an astonishing adventure to hunt the northern lights. Check availability by choosing a date.
