If you want to enjoy your trip to Iceland, rent this gear. We were able to be outside in bitingly cold severe winds rain and snow all the while being comfortable. The weather did not stop us from enjoying the beautiful sights of Iceland because we were wearing the right gear for the weather. Tip: take the Fly Bus from the airport to Reykjavik, the place you pick up the gear is right inside the bus terminal where you can easily pick up before transferring to the smaller bus that will take you to your final destination of choice. Stunning scenery and amazing variety every day, friendly coordinators and experienced guides, and premium accommodations considering the remoteness. Trail isn't wildly far from other sights but for some reason is far less popular — saw almost nobody else for over 24 hours. Away from the streams it was possible to sit on the soft moss and hear nothing but absolute silence. No scrambling or particularly risky trails. Note that while the trek is supported, you still have to carry your day pack and yourself across the distance, and while the days aren't grueling, this is also not an easy trip. Conditions can be hot or cold or rainy or foggy, and possibly all those in the same day. Unpredictable fog may rob you of some of the (many) viewpoints. Don't take this as your first hiking trip ever, do wear well-broken-in hiking boots.

We enjoyed a nice hiking and camping journey with our guide Dave. He arranged everything in order and led the hiking with a suitable pace so that we all enjoyed the view without haste or fatigue. The view is enormous, unlike anything I have ever seen. It shows the early version of earth and is much more breathtaking than the photos. I also enjoyed the very comfortable camp site and we had a good time chatting and helping each other. Many thanks for every member of this trip as we made this memory together.
