Amazing activity! I'm sure this is the most worthwhile activity to experience in Iceland, especially ice climbing. Although there were a large number of participants, the organizers arranged the equipment wearing in an orderly manner. We took a bus to the foot of the glacier and needed to walk for 1 hour to enter the glacier and then, the guides taught us to wear the ice claws. The guides were very professional, humorous, and had a strong sense of safety. They took good care of every member of the team. Under the guidance and protection, I tried ice climbing twice and successfully reached the top. The guides patiently explained the process of glacier formation, the causes of the cracks, and led us to master the techniques of climbing up and descending. They safely escorted each team member down the mountain. After returning back to the camp, they prepared hot chocolate for us to warm up. Overall, I highly recommend this activity!
