History of Sudureyri

Sudureyri's roots grew from its early 20th-century settlement when it emerged as a vital trading post in the rugged landscape of the Westfjords. The popular clothing brand 66°North was originally founded in this small village by Hans Kristjánsson in 1924, making clothes for fishermen in his little workshop.

Isafjordur Kayaking

Do you want to enjoy the Westfjord waters more? If so, you can visit Isafjordur, the largest settlement in Westfjords, and do some kayaking there.
