Macau Casino's Quality of Service Increases
The quality of service in the Macau gaming industry, which shows the latest edition of the Macau Gaming Services Index, increased in the second quarter of this year.
The index's numbers for the second quarter rose to 1.95 points from 1.83 points a year earlier on a measure considered to be the worst service and 3.5 the highest.
The index is compiled by the Macau Game Research Society and conducted by SGS Hong Kong Limited. Secret surveyors rated employees at 11 casinos as "smiling," "active" and "patient."
Compared with the results of the first survey, the micro index fell, while the prophylaxis and tolerance index was higher than a year ago, according to the report.
The index, which measures different departments within the casino, showed mixed results. The table games index rose to 1.85 in the second quarter from 1.56 in 2013.
The report found that only four of the six operators improved from last year's evaluation as it failed to determine which casino operators received the best and worst scores.
