Review of2-Day South Coast Winter Tour to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & Crystal Blue Ice Cave

The tour was fantastic - our driver was knowledgeable and experienced and made us feel safe even when the weather took a turn for the worse on March 20. He knew the bad weather was coming so he made sure we got to see all of the tour stops on the way to our hotel on the first day - it was a long day but really worth it to see the beautiful island and learn about the history. Our hotel was the Hotel Smyrlabjorg and they were great - far enough away from city lights to have a chance at seeing the northern lights. The blue ice cave was the highlight and it was absolutely amazing! All around a fantastic tour and I would recommend it to everyone. My 74 year old mother went with us and she had a great time walking on the glacier and looking at the blue ice caves - she was safe and well taken care of the entire tour. Highly recommend this tour and company.

Review of2-Day South Coast Winter Tour to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & Crystal Blue Ice Cave

The tour was outstanding. Our guide, Vlad, was wonderful -- knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He went out of his way to let the tour group know about a chance to see the Northern Lights -- he went around to let folks know in the evening that they were visible, and even helped take many of us to a dark location that may watching and photographing the lights even easier. There was enough time to enjoy each of the places we visited -- waterfalls, lava field, black sand beaches, the lagoon, the glacier, and ice caves. There were plenty of opportunities to use restrooms, eat, get refreshments, or even shop. The pickup at the start of the tour was easy and the bus was a reasonable size for the tour. Would highly recommend this tour, this company and our guide!

Axel our guide was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable about all the destinations on the itinerary, and on the country as a whole, and shared this with us. He answered all the questions our tour group raised. He was very friendly and a good advocate for Iceland. We had an amazing tour - and the weather was perfect, bright, sunny, crisp and cold. Very lucky!

Review of2-Day South Coast Winter Tour to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & Crystal Blue Ice Cave

Vlad, our guide for the two days, was AMAZING. Very kind and organized, gave valuable information, very personable and A TERRIFIC DRIVER - we had bad road conditions (ice, snow, poor visibility at times) on the drive from Reykjavik to Selfoss, and Vlad drove very carefully and slowly. We passed 7 cars and buses that had slid off the road. Vlad's slow and steady driving got us there safely! We SO appreciated that. The rest of the tour, really because of Vlad, was amazing. The blue ice, including an unexpected stop not on the agenda, amazing and impressed. Everything was well timed, Vlad was very clear with instructions, and we loved how we were able to go off and do our own sightseeing as a couple, and not have to stick together outside of the bus. The only exception was with a different guide in the ice caves, which we understood of course for safety reasons. Vlad put enormous emphasis on our safety and well being at all times. Very impressed by that. We would recommend this tour, and Vlad, to anyone!
