Unbekannter Schatz an der Ringstraße
Zugegeben ist die Ringstraße im Teil hinter Borgarnes zunächst mal für den landschaftsverwöhnten Touristen etwas langweilig: keine spektakulären Wasserfälle wie an der Südküste, keine Gletscher an der Seite, keine Küstenlinie zu sehen. Für ein ziemliches langes Stück scheint es im Westen und vor Erreichen des Nordens bei Hvammstangi kein richtiges Highlight zu geben - doch halt! Etwas versteckt sich da, gleich an der Ringstraße: der Krater Grábrók. Nicht, dass ihr mich jetzt falsch versteht. Die Halbinsel Snaefellsnes ist für mich immer noch ein verstecktes Juwel mit atemberaubender Natur und noch wenig touristischen Hauptattraktionen.
