Dream Guesthouse is in the town of Vik on Iceland’s famous Ring Road. Vik is 116 miles (187 kilometers) from Reykjavik in the southern region. It is a great place to seek out numerous adventure tours. You may want to start with Black Sand beach, just 1,100 yards (1 kilometer) from Dream Guesthouse.
Guests at Dream Guesthouse can also do the 3-mile (5-kilometer) hike to Reynisfjara beach, one of the most stunning black sand beaches in Iceland. National Geographic has called this beach one of the top-10 non-tropical beaches in the world. You may also wish to drive from the guesthouse to Reynisfjara Beach at 6.5 miles (11 kilometers).
You can continue your beach tour from Dream Guesthouse by driving back up to the Ring Road, then down to Dyrholaey View Parking. Although it takes a little time, at 12 miles (19.7 kilometers) from the first Black Sand beach, it’s time well spent. At Dyrholaey, you can take in the views of the basalt rock stacks just off the beach.
Dyrholaey is a small peninsula famous for its picture-perfect views. The Dyrholaey Lighthouse here is shaped like a mini-castle. There is also a stunning black arch of lava reaching out from the beach. There is an upper and lower Dyrholaey, and the lower part is where you’ll find the arch. You will also see The Endless Black Beach in this area. Directions are available online.
Another location near Dream Guesthouse is Myrdalsjokull, a glacier that covers an active volcano. Tours are available from the town of Vik. You can also go to the Katla Ice Cave from Vik. These caves are just below the glacier. Call ahead to the guest house to book your guided trip in advance as it is a very popular hiking area. There are many other tours and activities available out of the town of Vic, so planning is recommended.

Dream Guesthouse is a bed and breakfast with three bedrooms, each with two single beds. There is a shared bathroom available. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are all available to guests.
