Location & Nearby
Mio-Mork Guesthouse is a private house located 84 miles (135 kilometers) southeast of Reykjavik, ideally situated within striking distance of several waterfalls, including the beautiful Seljalandsfoss waterfall. As you make your way here from Reykjavik on the Ring Road, you should stop in the historic small town of Hvolsvollur for gas and light supplies as this might be your last stop for items you’ll need before Mio-Mork Guesthouse. This small town is famous for the Icelandic Saga of the 9th century and the Icelandic Saga Center here has a full display of this magical history. Further southeast past Mio-Mork Guesthouse is Eyjafjallajokull, a volcano famous for its huge 2010 eruption and which now has an ice-cap on its peak.
