After being picked up, you will begin your adventure by heading out through a thrilling lava field on your way to the Reykjanes Peninsula, in the south-west of Iceland, located only a short drive from Reykjavík city.
You will be driven past Kleifarvatn, a large lake located in a fissure zone on the boundaries of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. From there you will visit Seltún, an area nearby where the geothermal activity comes to the surface in the form of bubbling mud pools, colourful ground, and powerful steam vents.
After a nice walk around Seltún area, you will visit one of the hottest places in Iceland, Gunnuhver. The temperature under the surface is around 300° C at this steaming hot spring, and the whole area was once considered haunted by a ghost called Gunna who lent the region its name.
After passing the Reykjanesviti lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, you will take a walk towards the sea where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, high cliffs and black rock formations.
Afterwards, you will be driven to the bridge between two continents. The bridge is a small footbridge over a major fissure, which was formed by shifting of the two continental plates, Eurasian and North American plates.
The tour ends in the relaxing atmosphere of the Blue Lagoon. Vibrant blue water at the perfect temperature will help you unwind after a day of sightseeing. Afterwards, you will be taken back to the city through the small town Hafnarfjörður, located in a lava field.
