Horse Riding & Quad Biking Winter Trip

Horse riding and ATV tour

This easy and popular tour offers horseback riding on an Icelandic horse (the size of a pony and unique for its five gaits) and a two hour quad biking tour through lava terrain outside of Hafnarfjordur.

You'll have a great view on the tour, riding through the lava around Mt. Helgafell and either towards the old sheep coral Kaldarsel or to Hvaleyrarvatn lake. As you ride, you'll have the beautiful Blue Mountains towering above you, one one of Iceland's most popular skiing venues. After the horse riding tour you'll race on ATVs along the mountains and through the lava fields of the Blue Mountains area.

All necessary equipment is provided. Pickups are from Reykjavik. Check availability by choosing a date!
