ATV Tour Starting in South Iceland

Explore the raw black sandy beaches on the south coast by joining this ATV/Quad biking tour.

You'll need to make your way to our main base at Ytri Sólheimar 1, by the roots of Mýrdalsjökull glacier. The adventure begins when we gear up and get to know the ATV’s/Quad’s. After we have gone through the safety instructions we start the drive, through small rivers and streams, to the sandy beach which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. After a fun ride on the black beach we stop at a plane wreck to enjoy the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the big black coast all the way to Dyrhólaey, the southernmost part of Iceland. When these beautiful sights have sunk in we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of Mt. Heiðarhorn. We head back to the base along the mountains.

The tour can also be done as a day tour from Reykjavik. A South Coast and ATV/Quad combo, where you will visit the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss. On this tour you can get in touch with the raw, black, lava, sand landscape by the south coast.

Explore the South Coast in an exhilarating new way! Check availability by choosing a date.

Please note: To operate the ATV’s/Quad’s a valid driver’s license is required.
