Action-Packed 10 Hour ATV Tour of Iceland's South Coast with Transfer from Reykjavík
Explore the raw and beautiful black sand beaches along Iceland's South Coast by joining this adrenaline-fuelled ATV Quad biking tour. This is the perfect tour for action-junkies and all those aiming to get a real close look at the nature of the South Coast.
You will be picked up at you preselected pick up location. You will then drive along the South-Coast of Iceland all the way to our base situated under Mýrdalsjökull glacier. The adventure begins when your experience riding guide provides you with all of the necessary equipment, as well as tells you a little about the All Terrain Vehicles themselves. After your guide has gone through the safety instructions, you will start the drive, roaring through small rivers and streams towards the first black sand beach.
Once on the beach, you will have all the space you need to really let loose in terms of speed. On one side of you, you will have the rolling blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean, on the other, distant mountains and cragged cliff faces. This is just one example of the stark contrasts so visible along Iceland's South Coast.
After an exciting ride along the black beach, you will stop at the famous DC plane wreck to enjoy the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the big black coast all the way to Dyrhólaey, the southernmost part of Iceland. The plane wreck is a landmark in itself, having crash landed here in 1973, thankfully were no casualties.
When the ATV tour is finished you will head back to the bus and start making your way back to Reykjavík. But before that, you will experience two of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls. Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.
