Reykjanes Peninsula Superjeep Adventure with the Blue Lagoon

Join this tour to explore the Reykjanes peninsula, including the famous Blue Lagoon. This tour is for anyone fascinated by Iceland’s unique geography and the natural gifts of our hot springs!

There is no better place to enjoy the surprising and magnificent landscape that marks the edge of the continents than in Reykjanes peninsula. You’ll be picked up from your accommodation in the Reykjavik area and whirled away to the southwest, to see this ever-changing, moving and shaking place for yourself!

Your day starts with a visit to Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the Reykjanes. Next, you'll take a walk in Krysuvik Geothermal Area. You'll explore solfatara fields, consisting of fumaroles, mud pots, hot springs and brightly colored soils close-up, thanks to a well-maintained boardwalk. Your tour guide will be happy to give you a clear explanation of geological processes that power this bubbling and hissing, colorful, and vaporous wonder.

Our next stop is Gunnuhver, area of steam vents and mud pools. Among them is Iceland’s biggest one with 20 meters in diameter. You can look down into the spring, hear the roaring noise and see the boiling water from a ramp located close by.

Later, you'll visit Valahnukur Mountain, which was formed in a single eruption. Displaying layers of tuff, breccia and pillow lava, Valahnukur serves as a still-frame of different phases of a volcanic eruption.

You will also go to Leif the Lucky Bridge. This small footbridge connects Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, stretching over a major fissure, which provides clear evidence of a diverging plate margin. It was named in honor of Leif Eriksson, who traveled from Europe to North America 500 years before Columbus.

At the end of the day, you can choose to stop by a place that will nurture, relax and caress our feet and minds – famous geothermal spa, The Blue Lagoon. A session in volcanic waters and a fancy cocktail will make you feel soothed and rejuvenated.

Don’t miss this tour with a little bit of everything - the sights and smells of geothermal Iceland, with the ultimate relaxation of the Blue Lagoon. Check the booking availability above by pressing "Choose a date."
