Join this small-group combo tour and cruise the famous Golden Circle route before strapping on a helmet and going for a thrilling one-hour buggy ride. If you want to combine sightseeing with heart-racing action during your stay in Iceland, this is the adventure for you.

Your excursion begins as you get picked up in Reykjavík City by a comfortable minibus, to meet your guide and the rest of your small group of travel companions. Then, it’s time to see the world-renowned sites of the Golden Circle.

Your first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a stunning continental rift valley and a UNESCO world heritage site. Right amidst these fissures and cracks where the Earth is visibly being pulled apart by subterranean forces, the Viking Chieftains of old decided the laws of Alþingi and settled gruesome family feuds.

After having explored the volcanic landscapes of the park, you’ll continue to your next stop of the Geysir geothermal area. Here is where the great geyser Strokkur regularly erupts boiling water as high as 40 metres into the air during a dazzling display of geothermal power.

Next up is Gullfoss, a massive waterfall that cascades down two tiers into a grand canyon below. The sightseeing route is named after this natural marvel, and you’ll get to experience for yourself why the falls are the most iconic and beloved in all of Iceland.

Once you have enjoyed these incredible sites, it is time to head back towards to capital to arrive at the buggy base camp. There, you will be provided with all the necessary driving gear such as balaclavas, gloves, rubber boots, helmet and a waterproof overall.

After a short safety briefing, it’s time to hit the road and get down and dirty in the mud, zipping across hills, mud tracks, riverbeds and puddles. You have a full hour to engage in being a daredevil, enjoying a thrilling ride in the company of your newfound friends.

Once you are done, you might be covered in mud from head to toe, so be glad that your adventure concludes here as you catch your ride back to your accommodation, with plenty of time to shower off and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic combo of both sightseeing the most famous attractions in Iceland and stocking up on adrenaline during a one-hour buggy ride. Check availability by choosing a date.
